HORSE BOARDING
Inukshuk Farm is exclusively a boarding stable owned and operated by Janice
and Miles Ecclestone since 1997. As of March 2012 we no longer offer lessons to external clients but rather are directing all our efforts to our boarding clients and their horses. Our Clinics have been with some of the most renowned clinicians and instructors notable both provincial and national including Jaimee Irwin, Gord Wadds, Randy Storey, Lindsay Grice (2012), Gord Searle(2012) and more! Inukshuk clients cover a broad
spectrum of disciplines including AQHA showing, dressage, jumping
and trailriding. Our goal is to provide a professional yet social
atmosphere for competitive and pleasure riders along with a
comfortable, safe environment for their horses and our Inukshuk horses. Although our stalls have always been full and we continue to keep a "waiting list" it is worth your while to drop by for a visit and become part of the "wait" to get your stall at Inukshuk Farm! We offer partboard opportunities to some of our clients and in the event there is a horse available, give us a call. Inukshuk leads trailrides for its boarders and partboarders weekly and are planning some Ganaraska and Sandaraska trips in 2012. As well as running the farm Janice has already started her 2012 showing and won her HUS class with Kcees Jedi Knight in East Lansing, Michigan in February 2012! We are also planning on taking some of our Inukshuk partboarder and boarder clients to a few local shows in summer 2012. For 2012 we want to thank our current clients for being what makes Inukshuk a special place: Aimee, Ginny, Rachel, Susan, Jan, Maggie, Jennifer, Nicole, Britney, Kim, Dana, Alivia, Sam, Kal, Destiny, Sarah, Kierra and Milano ... In 2011 we enjoyed rides, attending the Trilogy show series, potlucks, trip to the Royal Winter, clinics at Inukshuk and we have lots of plans for an even busier 2012! If you would like to part of a vibrant, friendly, supportive community at |Inukshuk ... and get the best possible care for your horse with an experienced and proven successful horsewoman, call us now! We would love to meet you and discuss the needs of you and your horse.
INUKSHUK GOALS AND OPPORTUNITIES
We are very proud of a wide range of activities at Inukshuk including a small group of terrific horse boarding clients and regular clinics with terrific learning opportunities.
We
chose Inukshuk as the name of our Farm because of the following
meaning and also to acknowledge Miles’ two decades of research (on
glaciers) in the Canadian Arctic.
The
Inukshuk (pronounced IN-OOK-SHOOK) meaning "in the image of man",
are magnificent lifelike figures of stone which were erected by
the Inuit people and are unique to the Canadian Arctic. Standing
across Canada's North, they endure as eternal symbols of
leadership, encouraging the importance of friendship and reminding
us of our dependence upon one another.
Below is a 2011 photo album ... hope you enjoy a virtual visit to Inukshuk.
